IKIGAI

The younglings have their questions. They are not separated questions. One question reveals an answer, but four linked questions can hardly reveal anything.

Oran: These are the four rings… links that form IKIGAI!

Gracia: Master… how do we know what to choose?

Master Oran leans forward and takes some pebbles.

Oran: To have something to choose from…

The master gazes at the pebbles. With his thumb, Oran chooses some. The remaining unchosen ones are thrown in the waterfall.

      Oran: You must have something!

The master throws another pebble in the middle. And another. Oran even throws three at once! The sound of the pebble splashing in the water is so pleasant, yet the trainees associate it with the sacrifices that must be made in order to find what is right for each of them!

Oran: Do lots of things! Play games; climb mountains; surf the waters; explore the skies; make friends; help others… What would you like to do? You will find something you are good at! Do LOTS of stuff!

The master throws the second-last pebble into the waterfall. Oran has remained with only one and he shows it to his trainees!

Oran: Have something to choose from!

The complex path appears rather relieving. The young trainees are just at the beginning. They are experiencing the exploration part of their lives. They just have to do things and observe what do they enjoy doing.

The waters come from all places and the cascade took all the pebbles the Master thrown. The trainees cannot see where the waterfall took them. The waters are too crowded, and they cannot see any light down there.

Dimia: Why is so dark down there?

Oran: The dark center is IKIGAI! You cannot reach it unless you complete the chain! For some, only a few links are enough, and you might get something rewarding as a profession, vocation, a passion or a mission! But the reason of being lies in the full joining of the four questions! It is hard to find! It is well hidden in the darkness! It is your task… after you find it… to give it LIGHT! To giveit LIFE, to… exteriorize it!

Dimia: Noo… no! I just wondered… where do the pebbles go?

Vero: Where does the waterfall leads to?

      Oran: Oh…
