The RedShield gazes around to see if everyone is here. Rowan sees some younglings are not inside the arena.
Rowan: Come… no one stays outside!
All the younglings enter the arena. The floor is smooth. It is made from high-density glass of dark color! Seems unbreakable when you jump on it. The glass is strong enough to withstand the weight of many younglings! The circles cannot see what lies beneath them. They assume there is nothing there, just the ground.
The masters stand on the stone plates outside the arena to be seen by all.
Rowan: I am Rowan RedShield
Sabo: And I am Sabo RedShield. Guess what teaching will you learn today?
The younglings shout “SHIELD!!”
Rowan: Great! Do you know what the first lesson, in Shield Training, is?
They all go into silence. They do not know what the answer might be, so they hide their voices.
Rowan: Good… You will know by the end ofthe day! Shield is a particular part of this White Training “dance”! It teaches you strength! How much you can resist without giving up! How much can you endure without giving up! Your growth process will not be a straight line! You will rise and you will fall! Even if you won’t give up, you will fall! So, what is to be done?
The other RedShield gives a rhetorical answer.
Sabo: Learn to pick yourself up?
Rowan: Yes! That is a good answer!
The young circles gaze with revelation eyes upon the words of their masters.
Two giants come to visit and observe the training of the younglings. They lean on a giant rock and quietly gaze at the circles.
Rowan: But “picking yourself up” is NOT the first lesson in Shield!
