The trial of the survivor

Brak seems relaxed, but he is in continuing alert for any kind of movement. He is all alone in the forest. One of LEMURIA’s largest! Danger might come from any place!

Brak: There are plenty of them! I just need to find one!

The man finished eating.

Brak: You aren’t much of a talker...

The man searches the backpack. He takes out clothes. A simple garment for the upper body, some long pants and boots! No armor, no vambraces.

Brak takes out, from the backpack, a knife! The blade has the same length as its handle. The spine of the blade is raised, making it an incredible chopper. The stout end of the handle is tough, and it can be used for smashing and breaking things. It is a great cutting, chopping, and smashing tool! The only weapon he was given. A survival’s friend!

The man takes out also the sheath and places the knife in it. He places the whole thing to his back. There is nothing left in the backpack, but only two amrita fruits and some gold-color leaves from the amrita tree.

Brak looks for awooden stick fixed in the ground. He sees it. That is where he came from.

The man takes outthe stick. It is a spear with its peak sharpened with the knife. A longer weapon is better if danger arrives.

Close to, not too high, on two trees there is a fabric placed as a hammock. It is tied with grass ropes. In the hammock, there is grass every where. It has been exposed to the daylight and it is dried. Brak takes the dried grass, which turned into hay, and the ropes out of the hammock and places them in his backpack for further use. The “hammock” is the gray cloak. The same cloak everyone has – the one resistant to water and small sharp objects! The cloak serves well in the wild. Brak puts iton himself.

The man takes three rocks and places one above the other. Marking the place! He looks, for the last time, at the amrita tree.

Brak: Nice talk… See you later!

The man knows that trees do not talk. He is not crazy. But it is better to keep the words outside for a clearer thinking. He has today and two more days to complete the Trial. He continues his quest inside the woods, where the grass is fewer, and the trees are more.

Brak carries a spear in his hand and the knife at his back. His feet are watchful at the grounds; his eyes at the front; ears for his back. Brak remains calm, but vigilant.
