Master-Disciple

The GreenCircle decides to stop here for the night. He gazes around and above at the trees. Nickalen searches a place where they could sleep! High upward, they would not be bothered by uninvited hungry locals.

Nickalen finds two trees. They are near and they are tall! The GreenCircle climbs one! With both hands and both legs, he helps himself to ascend further upward! Nickalen has reached a tall point! From his backpack, he takes out two hammocks!

The GreenCircle sets up the hammocks and ties each end of them to the trees. Nickalen does this effortless. The task is done with ease. Shield training has served him well! His vessel is healthy and in physical shape. A fit body is the reward for all White Trainees.

Nickalen: Put the saddle down here, we don’t need it for the night. Can you climb up the tree?

Azur: Of course! You aren’t the only one with White Training here!

      Nickalen: Sure…

Young Azur grabs Platon and puts him on his back. The boy begins to climb the tree. The platypus holds on Azur’s back as its life depends on it! Nickalen wonders and wants to find out how well and strong is the boy’s spirit! The Master tests the disciple’s emotional control!

      Nickalen: HURRY! Wolves are coming!

The boy panics! He moves quickly his sight towards the ground! Azur searches for the wolves! The platypus struggles to hold on. The boy does not see any wolves! The boy’s body did no tremble! The shock has been sustained by the boy’s spirit! The GreenCircle is pleased by the training the boy has by now.

Azur: Where are the wolves, Master?

The GreenCircle rests comfortably in the hammock. He places the back of his head on his palms and closes his eyes.

Nickalen: I don’t know; in some brothel… contemplating their lives

Azur: But you said they are coming…

Nickalen: They are always coming… Now continue your climb!

The boy has reached his hammock! He gently puts Platon inside. Nickalen and Azur are tucked inside their own bed. They are up high, in the trees.

The light of day slowly goes below the horizon. The night takes over!

The woods always look different in the dark!
